Cisco 7920 Configuration Utility – Version 3.0

 

 

The Cisco 7920 Configuration Utility 3.0 requires firmware version 2.0 or later to be loaded on the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7920 as pre-2.0 firmware versions are incompatible with the 3.0 version of the Cisco 7920 Configuration Utility.

 

Installation Instructions:

 

  1. Copy the CU_7920.3-0.zip file to your hard drive.  Make a note of the location where you save the downloaded file.
  2. Double-click the CU_7920.3-0.zip file and extract the files to your hard drive.
  3. Double-click on Setup.exe to start the installation.
  4. If new installation, click Next.  If upgrading, choose Remove to uninstall the older Configuration Utility, then run the setup again.
  5. Click Yes, to accept the software license agreement.
  6. Click Next, to install the software at the default location (i.e. C:\Program Files\Cisco\Cisco 7920 Configuration Utility).
  7. Click Finish.
  8. To install the USB driver, connect the 7920 to the PC via the USB cable.
  9. Enable USB on the 7920 (Menu->Phone Settings->USB Enable/Disable->Enable).
  10. The USB driver will automatically be installed.

If prompted for the driver, point to the install path.(i.e. C:\Program Files\Cisco\Cisco 7920 Configuration Utility\Cisco 7920 USB)

  1. Launch the Cisco 7920 Configuration Utility, and the login window displays.

(CP-CFGPR-BUN-7920) will entitle you to use the software.
