To Downgrade to a Previous Firmware Version:

Once the phone firmware has been upgraded to version 2.0 or later, the phone firmware can only be downgraded to pre-2.0 releases via USB with the Cisco 7920 Configuration Utility as firmware downgrades to pre-2.0 releases via the wireless interface are not permitted.

If 1.0(8) or later is the current firmware version and 1.0(7) or earlier phone firmware release is loaded via the Cisco 7920 Configuration Utility, then the phone will be reset to factory defaults where all configuration information will be lost.
