Circuit Source


Use the Circuit Source page to provision the circuit origination parameters. Provisionable parameters include Node, Slot, Port, specific VC4, VC3 or TUG3, TUG2, VC11 (with XC-VXC-10G card only), and VC12. The Node field appears for all circuit types. Slot, Port, VC4, VC3 or TUG3, TUG2, VC11 (with XC-VXC-10G card only), VC12 might appear, depending on the circuit type, circuit size, the protection scheme, and the node and slot that are chosen. If a card, port, VC4, VC3 or TUG3, TUG2, VC11, or VC12 capacity is fully utilized, it does not appear in the list.

For high-order path, low-order path, and VCAT circuits, a secondary source check box appears so you can create a secondary circuit source, for example, an SNCP bridge/selector circuit entry point in a multivendor SNCP.

Description

Node

Sets the circuit source node.

Slot

Sets the slot used by the circuit. The card installed in the slot determines the availability of the Port, VC4, TUG3, TUG2, VC11, and VC12 fields.

Port

Sets the port used by the circuit. The Port field is available only when the slot contains a multiport card. If 802.17 RPR mode is enabled, the port drop-down list has RPR East or RPR West.

VC4

Sets the VC4 used by the circuit.

VC3/TUG3

Sets the VC3 or TUG3 used by the low-order path circuit.

TUG2

Sets the TUG2 used by the low-order path circuit.

VC11

Sets the VC11 used by the low-order path circuit.

VC12

Sets the VC12 used by the low-order path circuit.

Use Secondary Source

(VC4, VC3, VC11, and VC12 circuits only.) If checked, displays Node, Slot, Port, VC4, TUG3, TUG2, VC11, or VC12 fields so you can define a secondary circuit source.

OCHNC Lines

Displays the aggregation ports (In and Out) facing the line through which the circuit will be routed. OCHNC Lines show which side of the optical node the circuit passes through.
