Route Automatically
|
If checked, CTC routes the VCAT circuit automatically based on the parameters that you specify on this page.
|
Using Required Nodes/Spans
|
If checked, CTC allows you to choose nodes and spans to include in the automatically routed VCAT circuit path before circuit completion.
|
Review Route Before Creation
|
If checked, CTC allows you to review and modify the VCAT circuit route before circuit creation.
|
Common Fiber Routing
|
If chosen, CTC routes the VCAT circuit members on the same fiber.
|
Split Routing
|
If chosen, CTC routes the VCAT circuit members on different fibers.
|
Use Extended Buffer
|
(FC_MR-4 card only.) This box is read only. When Split Routing is chosen, differential delay is enabled and this box is automatically selected. If Common Fiber Routing is chosen, differential delay is disabled, and the Use Extended Buffer check box is automatically deselected.

Member Preferences
|
Provisions the protection for individual VCAT circuit members. Valid entries are:
Name: Type a unique name to identify the member. The name can be
alphanumeric and up to 48 characters (including spaces). If you leave the
field blank, CTC assigns a default name to the circuit.
Protection: Choose the member protection type:
Fully Protected: Routes the circuit on a protected path.
Unprotected: Creates an unprotected circuit.
PCA: Routes the member on an MS-SPRing protection channel.
DRI: (Split routing only.) Routes the member on a dual ring
interconnect circuit.
Node-Diverse Path: (Split routing only.) Available for each member when
Fully Protected is chosen.
Note If a member is unprotected, all members must be unprotected.
