Use the Line subtab to provision the Ethernet line parameters for the TXP_MR_10G, TXP_MR_10E, TXP_MR_10E_L, and TXP_MR_10E_C cards that are provisioned for a 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GigE) payload data type.

Description

Port

Displays the card port number.

Port Name

Allows you to enter a port name.

Admin State

Displays the port administration state. Choosing an administrative state from the drop-down list and clicking Apply changes the port's service state unless network conditions prevent the change. Admin states include:

  • unlocked: Puts the port in service. The port service state changes to unlocked-enabled.

  • unlocked,automaticInService: Puts the port in automatic in-service. The port service state changes to unlocked-disabled,automaticInService.

  • locked-disabled: Removes the port from service and disables it. The port service state changes to locked-enabled,disabled.

  • locked,maintenance: Removes the port from service for maintenance. The port service state changes to locked-enabled,maintenance.

Service State

An autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Administrative_State-Operational_State, Status_Attribute. For additional state information, see States.

ALS Mode

Note     For Ethernet payload, the ALS mode field is not supported. The ALS mode field is supported only when the payload type is SDH.

Allows you to provision the automatic laser shutdown:

  • Disable: ALS is off; the laser is not automatically shut down when traffic outages (LOS) occur.

  • Auto Restart: ALS is on; the laser automatically shuts down when traffic outages (LOS) occur. It automatically restarts when the conditions that caused the outage are resolved.

  • Manual Restart: ALS is on; the laser automatically shuts down when traffic outages (LOS) occur. However, the laser must be manually restarted when conditions that caused the outage are resolved.

  • Manual Restart for Test: Used to manually restart the laser for testing.

Max. Size

Defines the maximum Ethernet size.

Incoming MAC Address

Allows you to define the MAC address of the incoming Ethernet signal.

Apply

Applies changes made to the fields in the tab.

Reset

Cancels any changes to the tab and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.
