Line (1G Ethernet and 2R Payloads) and Line > Trunk/Client
Use the Line subtabs to provision the trunk parameters for the MXP_2.5G_10E, TXP_MR_10E, TXP_MR_10E_L, and TXP_MR_10E_C cards, the client parameters for the MXP_MR_10DME_L and MXP_MR_10DME_C cards, or the line parameters for TXP or MXP cards provisioned for the following payloads: 1GigE, ESCON, DV6000, SDI_D1, high definition television (HDTV), FC1G, FC2G, FC10G, FICON1G, FICON2G, ETR_CLO, and ISC.
Displays the port administration state. Choosing an administrative state from the drop-down list and clicking Apply changes the port's service state unless network conditions prevent the change. Admin states include:
unlocked: Puts the port in service. The port service state changes to unlocked-enabled.
unlocked,automaticInService: Puts the port in automatic in-service. The port service state changes to unlocked-disabled,automaticInService.
locked-disabled: Removes the port from service and disables it. The port service state changes to locked-enabled,disabled.
locked,maintenance: Removes the port from service for maintenance. The port service state changes to locked-enabled,maintenance.
An autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Administrative_State-Operational_State, Status_Attribute. For additional state information, see States.
(Does not apply to all cards.) Sets the automatic in-service soak period for the port.
Allows you to provision the automatic laser shutdown:
Disable: ALS is off; the laser is not automatically shut down when traffic outages (LOS) occur.
Auto Restart: ALS is on; the laser automatically shuts down when traffic outages (LOS) occur. It automatically restarts when the conditions that caused the outage are resolved.
Manual Restart: ALS is on; the laser automatically shuts down when traffic outages (LOS) occur. However, the laser must be manually restarted when conditions that caused the outage are resolved.
Manual Restart for Test: Used to manually restart the laser for testing.
Allows you to provision the wavelength frequency. You can set the wavelength to the First Tunable Wavelength or to further wavelengths in 100 GHz ITU spacing.
(Does not apply to all cards.) Allows you to select or disable squelching from the drop-down list.
Allows you to provision the reach value. You can also choose Auto Provision, which allows the system to automatically provision the reach from the PPM reach value on the hardware. The reach distances that appear in the drop-down list depend on the card:
SX (Short laser wavelength on multimode fiber optic cable for a maximum length of 550 meters. The operating wavelength range is 770-860 nm.)
LX (Long wavelength for a long haul fiber optic cable for a maximum length of 10 km. The operating wavelength range is 1270-1355 nm.)
CX (Two pairs of 150-ohm shielded twisted pair cable for a maximum length of 25 meters.)
T (Four pairs of Category 5 Unshielded Twisted Pair cable for a maximum length of 100 meters)
DX (Single mode up to 40 km. The operating wavelength range is 1430-1580 nm.)
HX (Single mode up to 40 km. The operating wavelength range is 1280-1335 nm.)
ZX (Extended wavelength single-mode optical fiber for up to 100 km. The operating wavelength range is 1500-1580 nm.)
VX (Single mode up to 100 km. The operating wavelength range is 1500-1580 nm.)
Cancels any changes to the tab and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.
