The Optical Ampli. Line > Parameters subtab allows you to view the OPT-BST, OPT-BST-L, OPT-PRE, and OPT-AMP-L optical amplifier line parameters.

Description

Port

Displays the card port number.

Port Name

Displays the port name.

Admin State

Displays the port administration state. Choosing an administrative state from the drop-down list and clicking Apply changes the port's service state unless network conditions prevent the change. Admin states include:

  • unlocked: Puts the port in service. The port service state changes to unlocked-enabled.

  • unlocked,automaticInService: Puts the port in automatic in-service. The port service state changes to unlocked-disabled,automaticInService.

  • locked-disabled: Removes the port from service and disables it. The port service state changes to locked-enabled,disabled.

  • locked,maintenance: Removes the port from service for maintenance. The port service state changes to locked-enabled,maintenance.

Service State

An autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Administrative_State-Operational_State, Status_Attribute. For additional state information, see States.

Line Direction

Displays the direction of the ring that the port is on (east-to-west or west-to-east).

Total Output Power

Displays the total output power.

Channel Power Ref

Displays the reference channel power.

Offset

Displays the offset value.

Signal Output Power

Displays the signal output power.

Output Power Set-Point

Displays the signal output power setpoint.

Working Mode

Displays the working mode, either gain or power.

Gain

Displays the value of the optical power increase as a signal passes through the amplifier.

Gain SetPoint

Displays the target gain value that needs to be maintained for the amplifier.

Tilt Reference

Displays the value of variation between signal peaks across the spectrum, calculated by CTC.

Tilt Calibration

Displays the value of variation between signal peaks across the spectrum, entered by the user.

AINS Soak

Automatic in-service soak time. The duration of time that must pass with an uninterrupted signal before the traffic/termination transitions to the unlocked-enabled service state.

DCU Insertion Loss

(OPT-PRE only.) Dispersion compensating unit insertion loss calculated by CTC.

Apply

Applies changes made to the fields in the tab.

Reset

Cancels any changes to the tab and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.
