Line

Use the DS3i-N-12 card Line subtab to provision the card line parameters.

Port

(Display only.) The card port number.

Port Name

Enter the name of the electrical port.

Admin State

Administrative states are used to manage service states:

Note: A change in the administrative state of an entity does not change the service state of supporting or supported entities.

  • unlocked: Puts the entity in-service.

  • locked,disabled: Removes the entity from service and disables it.

  • locked,maintenance: Removes the entity from service for maintenance.

  • unlocked,automaticInservice: Puts the entity in automatic in-service.

  • locked,outOfGroup: (VCAT circuits only.) Removes a VCAT member cross-connect from service and from the group of members.

Service State

Indicates the card port service state. Service states appear in the format: Administrative_State-Operational_State, Status_Attribute. For additional state information, see States.

SF BER

Sets the signal failure bit error rate.

SD BER

Sets the signal degrade bit error rate.

Line Type

Defines the line framing type.

Detected Line Type

(Display only.) The detected line type.

Line Coding

Defines the transmission coding type.

Line Length

Defines the distance (in feet) from the backplane connection to the next termination point.

AINS Soak

Automatic in-service soak. The amount of time left before the traffic/termination transitions to IS state.

Apply

Applies changes made to the fields in the tab.

Reset

Cancels any changes to the tab and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.
