POS Ports > Line
Use the POS Ports > Line subtab to display POS port provisioning information. The Line subtab options are described in the following table.
Shows the administrative state of the port. Choosing an administrative state from the drop-down list and clicking Apply changes the port's service state unless network conditions prevent the change. Admin states include:
unlocked: Puts the port in service. The port service state changes to unlocked-enabled.
locked, disabled: Removes the port from service and disables it. The port service state changes to locked-enabled, disabled.
locked, maintenance: Removes the port from service for maintenance. The port service state changes to locked-enabled, maintenance.
unlocked, automaticInService: Puts the port service state in unlocked-disabled,automaticInService.
An autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Administrative_State-Operational_State, Status_Attribute. For additional state information, see States.
Automatic in-service soak. Both the hours and minutes can be selected.
Displays the physical port state. Possible values are Up and Down.
Shows the encapsulation type set on the Card subtab. You can provision GFP-F or HDLC:
Sets the cyclic redundancy check (CRC) to verify the integrity of the transmitted data. Possible values are 32-Bit (if the framing type is HDLC or GFP-F) or None.
Displays the maximum transfer unit. The largest acceptable packet size configured for that port. This field always displays 1500, the default size.
Cancels any changes to the port parameters and returns the field to its last-saved settings.
