ROADM Power Monitoring

Use the ROADM Power Monitoring subtab to monitor the power equalization functions on nodes that are provisioned for reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexing (ROADM). (The subtab is blank if a 32WSS is not installed.) The graphic shown on the subtab compares the channel power level at the 32 span losses on the network. The span loss verification compares the far-end OSC power with the near-end OSC power.

Bar Chart

Provides power monitoring information for west-to-east (W > E) and east-to-west (E > W):

  • Padd: Pass-through wavelength equalizer power

  • Ppt: Added wavelength equalized power

  • Pout: Output wavelength equalization

Refresh

Refreshes the power information shown on the bar charts.
