MS-DCC


Use the MS-DCC subtab to view, create, edit, and delete multiplex section DCC terminations (D4-D12 bytes). These bytes provide a 576-kbps message channel for CTC alarms, maintenance, control, monitoring, and other CTC administration data.

Description

Port

Displays the slot and port where the MS-DCC is provisioned.

OSPF Disabled on Link

Indicates whether OSPF is disabled on the link. OSPF should be disabled only when the slot and port connect to third-party equipment that does not support OSPF.

Foreign

A check mark indicates that the far-end node is a non-ONS node.

Foreign IP

Displays the foreign node IP address.

LAPD Termination

Displays LAP-D parameters for RS-DCCs that are provisioned as OSI only. For MS-DCCs, this column is always N/A.

OSI SNPA

If the MS-DCC is provisioned for OSI, SNPA information is shown here:

  • Router-Indicates the ONS router and NSAP address.

  • Router State-Indicates whether the router is enabled or disabled.

Port Service State

Indicates the MS-DCC port state. Service states appear in the format: Administrative_State-Operational_State, Status_Attribute. For additional state information, see States.

Create

Displays the Create MS-DCC Termination dialog box to create a new multiplex section DCC termination.

Edit

Displays the Edit MS-DCC Termination dialog box to edit the highlighted MS-DCC termination.

Delete

Deletes the MS-DCC termination highlighted in the MS-DCC Terminations list.
