Configuration
|
Displays LMP configuration options:
Enable LMP: This check box enables LMP when it is checked and disables
LMP when it is not checked.
Local Node ID: After enabling LMP, use this field to enter the local node ID in
the form of an IP address.
Note Do not set the LMP Local Node ID to another IP address in use on the
network. This introduces a duplicate IP address in the network for traffic
going to the IP address that is used as the LMP Local Node ID. It is
recommended to set the LMP Local Node ID to the node's IP address since
this will not introduce a duplicate IP address in the network.
LMP-WDM: This check box enables the LMP-WDM protocol when it is
checked and disables the LMP-WDM protocol when it is not checked.
Role: After enabling LMP-WDM, use this drop-down list to choose PEER or
OLS. LMP allows the ONS 15454 SDH to be used between a peer node and an
adjacent optical line system (OLS). Choose PEER to use LMP to manage links
between two ONS 15454 SDH nodes where the other node is configured as
OLS. Choose OLS to use LMP to manage links between two ONS 15454 SDH
nodes where the other node is configured as PEER. In most cases, the
ONS 15454 SDH will use OLS mode. PEER is mainly used for simulating
unavailable PEER equipment during testing.
