LMP > Data Link > Create LMP Data Link Dialog Box
Use the Create LMP Data Link dialog box to create LMP data links. A maximum of 32 data links can be created for each TE link. You cannot create a data link unless a TE link has already been created. For information about creating TE links, see the LMP > TE Link > Create LMP TE Link Dialog Box. Also note that the client ports of TXP_MR_10E or MXP_2.5G_10E DWDM cards can be assigned to LMP data links if the port is provisioned to one of the following payloads: 10GE, OC48/STM16, or OC192/STM64.
Note Any default node values given in this table can vary depending on the node defaults entered under the
Provisioning > Defaults tab.

Local Port
|
Choose an option from the drop-down list:

Local Port Id
|
Displays the local port identifier assigned by the node.

Data Link Type
|
Choose either Port or Component from the drop-down list.
A data link is considered as either a port link or a component link by each node that it terminates on, depending on the multiplexing capability of the endpoint on that link. Component links are multiplex capable. Ports are not multiplex capable.

Local TE Link Id
|
Choose the local TE link identifier from the drop-down list.

Remote Port Id
|
Enter the remote port identifier.

OK
|
Saves any changes and closes the Create LMP Data Link dialog box.

Cancel
|
Cancels any changes and closes the Create LMP Data Link dialog box.

|
Displays context-sensitive help.
