Pluggable Port Modules

Use the Pluggable Port Modules tab to preprovision or delete optical pluggable port modules (PPMs) and to provision or delete pluggable ports. This tab is divided into two areas: the Pluggable Port Modules area and the Pluggable Ports area. The following table describes the columns, fields, and actions for the Pluggable Port Modules area.

Plugable Port Modules Area

PPM

Displays the PPM number.

Service State

Identifies the PPM service state. The service state is an autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Administrative_State-Operational_State, Status_Attribute. For additional state information, see States.

Actual Equipment Type

Identifies the equipment type. For dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) ITU PPMs, this field also includes the wavelength.

Create

Allows you to choose the PPM and PPM type to create.

Delete

Deletes the selected PPM.

Pluggable Ports Area

Port

Displays the port number for the PPM in the Pluggable Port Modules area.

Rate

Indicates the port rate for the PPM in the Pluggable Port Modules area.

Create

Allows you to create a port for the PPM in the Pluggable Port Modules area.

Edit

(Does not apply to all cards.) Allows you to edit a port for the PPM.

Delete

Deletes the selected port from the PPM.
