Circuit Type
|
Defines the circuit type:
STS: Creates a specific STS circuit.
VT: (ONS 15310-CL, ONS 15310-MA, ONS 15327, and ONS 15454 only)
Creates a Virtual Tributary (VT1.5 or VT2) circuit.
VT Tunnel: (ONS 15310-CL, ONS 15310-MA, ONS 15327, and ONS 15454
only) Creates a VT tunnel. VT tunnels allow VT circuits to pass through an ONS
node without using cross-connect card resources. VT circuits using VT tunnels
use cross-connect capacity only at the source and destination nodes.
VT Aggregation Point: Creates a VT aggregation point (VAP). VAPs allow VT
circuits to be aggregated into an STS for hand-off to non-ONS networks or
equipment, such as interoffice facilities (IOFs), switches, or a digital access
cross-connect system (DACS). VAPs reduce VT matrix resource utilization at the
node where the VT circuits are aggregated onto the STS. This node is called the
STS grooming end. The STS grooming end requires an OC-N, EC-1, or DS3XM
card. VT aggregation points can be created on BLSR, 1+1, or unprotected nodes,
but cannot be created on UPSR nodes.
STS-V: (ONS 15310-CL, ONS 15310-MA, and ONS 15454 only) Creates a
VCAT STS circuit.
VT-V: (ONS 15310-CL, ONS 15310-MA, and ONS 15454 only) Creates a virtual
concatenated VT circuit.
OCHNC: (ONS 15454 only) Creates an OCHNC between ONS nodes that are
provisioned for DWDM.
OCH CC: (ONS 15454 only) Creates a circuit from TXP/MXP client ports.
