|
(Near End only) Sets the threshold for the number of coding violations. Coding violations are BIP errors that are detected in the incoming signal. A threshold is associated with this parameter, and the table cell is flagged in red when it exceeds the threshold.

(Near and Far End) Sets the threshold for the number of errored seconds. An errored second is a one-second period with one or more coding violations at that layer or one or more incoming defects at that layer.

(Far End only) Sets the threshold for the failure count.

(Near End only) Sets the threshold for the number of severely errored seconds. A severely errored second is a one-second period with x or more coding violations at that layer and one or more incoming defects at that layer. The value of x depends on the line rate and bit error rate.
