Optical Chn > Parameters
The Optical Chn > Parameters subtab allows you to view the 32MUX-0, 32DMX-0, 32DMX, 32DMX-L, 4MD-xx.x, 32WSS, and 32WSS-L card optical channel parameters.
For the 32WSS and 32WSS-L cards, the subtabs divide the channels by the optical connectors:
Optical Connector 1: Add receive channels 1 through 8; pass-through channels 33 through 40
Optical Connector 2: Add receive channels 9 through 16; pass-through channels 41 through 48
Optical Connector 3: Add receive channels 17 through 24; pass-through channels 49 through 54
Optical Connector 4: Add receive channels 25 through 32; pass-through channels 55 through 64
Sets the port administration state. Choosing an administrative state from the drop-down list and clicking Apply changes the port's service state unless network conditions prevent the change. Admin states include:
IS-Puts the port in service. The port service state changes to IS-NR.
IS,AINS-Puts the port in automatic in-service. The port service state changes to OOS-AU,AINS.
OOS,DSBLD-Removes the port from service and disables it. The port service state changes to OOS-MA,DSBLD.
OOS,MT-Removes the port from service for maintenance. The port service state changes to OOS-MA,MT.
Shows the autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Primary State-Primary State Qualifier, Secondary State. For additional state information, see States.
Sets the direction of the ring that the port is on (east-to-west or west-to-east).
(Does not apply to all cards.) Displays the actual working mode of the variable optical attenuation.
(Does not apply to all cards.) Displays the variable optical attenuation power value calculated by CTC.
(Does not apply to all cards.) Sets the variable optical attenuation power value.
(Does not apply to all cards.) Displays the variable optical attenuation value calculated by CTC.
(Does not apply to all cards.) Sets the variable optical attenuation value.
Displays the port's actual wavelength value, calculated by CTC.
Displays the expected wavelength for the port, furnished by CTC.
Sets the automatic in-service soak timer, which is the duration of time that must pass with an uninterrupted signal before the traffic/termination transitions to the IS-NR service state.
(This does not apply to all cards.) Displays the actual power (coming from a TXP/MXP/Line Card TRUNK-TX) received at the ADD-RX of the WSS.
(This does not apply to all cards.) Describes the logical status (Active/Standby) of the ADD-Path connection for the specific wavelength. The status changes when an OCH-NC circuit, whose source port is the ADD port of the WSS, is created. The information applies to ADD paths only (pass-through is always N/A).
Cancels any changes to the tab and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.
