Line

Use the Line subtab to provision the DS3-12E, DS3N-12E, and DS3/EC1-48 line parameters.

Port

Displays the card port number.

Port Name

Sets the name of the electrical port.

Admin State

Sets the port administration state. Choosing an administrative state from the drop-down list and clicking Apply changes the port's service state unless network conditions prevent the change. Admin states include:

  • IS-Puts the port in-service. The port service state changes to IS-NR.

  • OOS,DSBLD-Removes the port from service and disables it. The port service state changes to OOS-MA,DSBLD.

  • OOS,MT-Removes the port from service for maintenance. The port service state changes to OOS-MA,MT. For loopbacks, the OOS,MT admin state must be initiated.

  • IS,AINS-Puts the port in automatic in-service. The port service state changes to OOS-AU,AINS.

Service State

Shows an autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Primary State-Primary State Qualifier, Secondary State. For additional state information, see States.

SF BER

Sets the SF BER.

SD BER

Sets the SD BER.

Line Type

Defines the line framing type:

  • Unframed

  • M13

  • C Bit

  • Auto provision

Detected Line Type

Displays the detected line type.

Line Coding

(Not available on all cards.) Defines the transmission coding type.

Line Length

Defines the distance (in feet) from the backplane connection to the next termination point.

AINS Soak

Sets the automatic in-service soak time, which is the amount of time left before the traffic/termination transitions to the IS-NR state.

Apply

Applies changes made to the fields in the tab.

Reset

Cancels any changes to the tab and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.
