Elect Path Thresholds

Use the Elect Path Thresholds subtabs to provision the DS3-12E, DS3N-12E, and DS3/EC1-48 card electrical path thresholds.

Near End

Select Near End to display the near-end thresholds.

Far End

Select Far End to display the far-end thresholds.

15 Min

Select to enter threshold information for a generation of 15-minute TCAs.

1 Day

Select to enter threshold information for a generation of 1-day TCAs.

DS3 Pbit

Select to display DS3 PBit threshold information.

DS3 CPBit

Select to display DS3 CPBit threshold information.

Show Thresholds

Shows selected thresholds.

Port

Displays the port number.

CV

Sets the threshold for the number of coding violations. Coding violations are BIP errors that are detected in the incoming signal. A threshold is associated with this parameter, and the table cell will be flagged in red when it exceeds the threshold. You can set thresholds using the command-line interface (CLI).

ES

Sets the threshold for the number of errored seconds. An errored second is a one-second period with one or more coding violations at that layer or one or more incoming defects at that layer.

SES

Sets the threshold for the number of severely errored seconds. A severely errored second is a one-second period with x or more coding violations at that layer or one or more incoming defects at that layer. The value of x depends on the line rate and BER.

LOSS

Sets the threshold for the number of one-second intervals containing one or more LOS defects.

CVP

Sets the threshold for the coding violations.

ESP

Sets the threshold for the errored seconds.

SAS

Sets the threshold for the severely errored frame/alarm indication signal for the path.

AISS

Sets the threshold for the alarm indication signal seconds.

UAS

Sets the threshold for the unavailable seconds.

Apply

Applies changes made to the fields in the tab.

Reset

Cancels any changes to the tab and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.

Help

Displays context-sensitive help.
