Ether Ports > Line

(ONS 15310-CL, ONS 15310-MA, and ONS 15454 only) Use the Ether Ports > Line subtab to display Ether Port provisioning information. The Line subtab options are described in the following table.

Port

Displays the card port number.

Port Name

Displays the port name and is also provisionable.

Admin State

Displays the port administration state. Choosing an administrative state from the drop-down list and clicking Apply changes the port's service state unless network conditions prevent the change. Admin states include:

  • IS-Puts the port in-service. The port service state changes to IS-NR.

  • OOS,DSBLD-Removes the port from service and disables it. The port service state changes to OOS-MA,DSBLD.

  • OOS,MT-Removes the port from service for maintenance. The port service state changes to OOS-MA,MT.

  • IS,AINS-Puts the port in automatic in-service. The port service state changes to OOS-AU,AINS.

Service State

Displays the autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Primary State-Primary State Qualifier, Secondary State. For additional state information, see States.

AINS Soak

Automatic in-service soak. Both the hours and minutes can be selected.

Link State

Displays the physical port state. Possible values are UP and DOWN.

Expected Speed

Displays the expected speed. Possible values are 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and Auto.

Operating Speed

Displays the actual operating speed.

Expected Duplex

Displays the port's expected duplex setting. Possible values are Full, Half, and Auto.

Operating Duplex

Displays the port's actual duplex setting.

Enable Flow Control

If checked, enables the IEEE 802.3x flow control and buffering to reduce data congestion on the port (default). If flow control is enabled, the Ethernet device attached to the card must be set to autonegotiation. If flow control is enabled but the negotiation status indicates no flow control, check the autonegotiation settings on the attached Ethernet device.

Flow Control

Displays the negotiated flow control mode. Possible values are None and Symmetrical.

8021Q Vlan CoS

Sets the IEEE 802.1Q standard VLAN class of service (CoS) threshold for priority queueing. Possible values are 0 through 7; 0 is the lowest priority and 7 is the highest priority.

IP ToS

Sets the IP type of service (ToS) byte value for priority queueing. Possible values are 0 through 255.

Apply

Applies changes made to the port parameters.

Reset

Cancels any changes to the port parameters and returns it to its last-saved settings.

Help

Displays context-sensitive help.
