Test Access

Use the Test Access subtab to view test access points in CTC. The test access (TACC) feature allows a third-party Broadband Remote Test Unit (BRTU) to create nonintrusive test access points (TAPs) to monitor the circuits on the node for errors. Circuits can be split (intrusive), so that the transmission paths can be tested for bit errors using bit test patterns. The node supports the Hekimian/Spirent BRTU-93 (6750) and the TTC/Acterna Centest 650 BRTUs. For more information about test access, refer to the Cisco ONS SONET TL1 Command Guide.

Item	Description
Number	Displays the test access point number, 1 to 999.
Type	Displays the test access point type.
Test Point A	Displays the transmission path (the direction of transmission on the A pair is from E to F).
Test Point B	Displays the transmission path (the transmission direction for the B pair is from F to E).
Test Access Mode	Displays the test access point mode.
Circuit Path E	Displays the equipment test access point direction.
Circuit Path F	Displays the facility test access point direction.
Help	Displays context-sensitive help.
