Tools
Displays the following options:
Repair Circuits: Repairs partial circuits. Refer to the ONS node troubleshooting guide for more information.
Reconfigure Circuits-Allows you to rebuild circuits, which might be necessary when a large number of circuits are in the PARTIAL state.
Set Path Selector Attributes: Edits unidirectional path switched ring (UPSR) circuit path selector attributes.
Roll Circuit: Reroutes live traffic without interrupting service. See Roll Creation.
Delete Rolls: Deletes a roll. Use caution when selecting this option, because traffic might be affected. Delete a roll only if it cannot be completed or cancelled. Circuits might have a PARTIAL status when this option is selected.
Upgrade OCHNC: Upgrades an OCHNC circuit to the corresponding Optical Channel Client Connection (OCHCC) circuit by using the existing internal or external patchcords to extend the circuit to the client port of the TXP card, MXP card, or OC-N trunk port. The OCHNC to OCHCC upgrade does not cause traffic loss, errors, or alarms. This feature will upgrade OCHNC circuits created on software versions prior to 7.0, or on 7.0 and later. This feature does not allow you to restore an OCHNC circuit from a completed OCHCC circuit.
Displays the Repair IP Tunnel Repair wizard. The wizard is used to repair IP tunnels that need repair due to changes in the node IP addresses. IP tunnels are overhead circuits used to transport traffic from third-party equipment across ONS networks.
Allows you to choose one of the following topology upgrade wizards:
Displays a list of VLANs and allows you to delete or create new VLANs.
Displays existing TL1 tunnels; allows you to create, edit, and delete the tunnels.
Displays the TL1 session dialog box so you can create a TL1 session to a specific node. Refer to the Cisco ONS SONET TL1 Command Guide.
Displays the Cisco IOS command line interface (CLI) dialog box if an ML-Series card is installed in the node. Refer to the Ethernet Card Software Feature and Configuration Guide for the Cisco ONS 15454, Cisco ONS 15454 SDH, and Cisco ONS 15327.
