Multishelf Config (Shelf View)

Use the Multishelf Config subtab to provision a node as a multishelf system. The fields on this tab appear when you are in shelf view, that is, either a single-shelf configuration or a multishelf configuration at the shelf level.

Item	Description
Disable Multishelf	Disables the multishelf configuration for the current shelf. The shelf will reboot and come back up in single-shelf mode. You will need to physically disconnect the shelf from the multishelf system
Enable as Subtended Shelf	Designates a shelf as a subtended shelf in a multishelf system.
Shelf ID	When Enable as Subtended Shelf is selected, sets the ID for the shelf from the drop-down list.
Enable as Node Controller	Sets a shelf as the node controller in a multishelf system.
LAN Config	When Enable as Node Controller is selected, sets the LAN configuration. Options include Ethernet Switch (use with an external Catalyst or an MS-ISC-100T card in the node controller shelf) or Stand-alone (when a multishelf configuration includes only one shelf, the node controller, and the TCC2/TCC2P connects directly to the LAN).
Apply	Applies changes made to the Multishelf Config fields.
Reset	Cancels any changes and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.
Help	Displays context-sensitive help.
