Port Status

Use the Port Status subtab to view the DWDM port status and to run the ANS function. ANS adjusts the values of the VOAs on the different channel paths to equalize the per-channel input power. ANS is run anytime a DWDM card is added or removed from the ONS 15454.

Port

Displays the card port.

Parameter

Displays the name of the parameter.

Link Status

Displays the status of the link. Possible values are:

  • Success - Changed: The calculated setpoint was changed.

  • Success - Unchanged: The calculated setpoint was not changed.

  • Fail - Out of Range: The calculated setpoint is outside the range for that parameter.

  • Fail - Port in IS State: The setpoint cannot be applied because the port has an IS-NR service state.

  • Not Applicable: The setpoint does not apply to the node.

Launch ANS

Launches the ANS function. ANS adjusts the VOAs on the different channel paths to equalize the amplifier per-channel input power.

Refresh

Updates the Port Status display.
