Loopback (OSCM)


Use the Loopback subtab to retrieve loopback information for the OSCM DWDM card.

Port

Displays the port number.

Admin State

Displays the port administration state. Choosing an administrative state from the drop-down list and clicking Apply changes the port's service state unless network conditions prevent the change. Admin states include:

  • unlocked-Puts the port in service. The port service state changes to unlocked-enabled.

  • locked,disabled-Removes the port from service and disables it. The port service state changes to unlocked-enabled,disabled.

  • locked,maintenance-Removes the port from service for maintenance. The port service state changes to unlocked-enabled,maintenance. For loopbacks, the locked,maintenance admin state must be initiated.

  • unlocked,automaticInService-Puts the port in automatic in-service. The port service state changes to unlocked-disabled,automaticInService.

Service State

An autonomously generated state that gives the overall condition of the port. Service states appear in the format: Administrative_State-Operational_State, Status_Attribute. For additional state information, see States.

Loopback Type

Allows you to provision a terminal or facility loopback, or clear an existing current loopback (none). Loopbacks can only be provisioned when the service state is unlocked-enabled,maintenance.

Inhibit Lbk

When selected, inhibits far-end loopback.

Apply

Applies changes made to the fields in the tab.

Reset

Cancels any changes to the tab and returns the fields to their last-saved settings.

Displays context-sensitive help.
