Overwriting a Generated Key Pair

If the SSH key pair option is already generated for the required version, you can force the switch to overwrite the previously generated key pair.

Detailed Steps

To overwrite the previously generated key pair using DCNM-SAN, follow these steps:

  1. Expand Switches > Security and then select SSH and Telnet.
  2. You see the configuration in the Information pane.

  3. Highlight the key that you want to overwrite and click Delete Row.
  4. Click the Apply Changes icon to save these changes.
  5. Click the Create Row icon.
  6. You see the SSH and Telnet Key - Create dialog box.

  7. Check the switches you want to assign this SSH key pair.
  8. Choose the key pair option type from the Protocols radio buttons.
  9. Set the number of bits that will be used to generate the key pairs in the NumBits drop-down menu.
  10. Click Create to generate these keys.
