Configuring iSLB Initiator Targets
You can configure initiator targets using the device alias or the pWWN. You can also optionally specify one or more of the following optional parameters:
In addition, you can disable auto-zoning.
If you configure an IQN for an initiator target, then that name is used to identify the initiator target. Otherwise, a unique IQN is generated for the initiator target.
Detailed Steps
To configure additional iSLB initiator targets using Device Manager, follow these steps:
- Choose IP > iSCSI iSLB.
You see the iSCSI iSLB dialog box.
- Click on the initiator you want to add targets to and click Edit Initiator Specific Targets.
You see the Initiator Specific Target dialog box.
- Click Create to create a new initiator target.
You see the Create Initiator Specific Target dialog box.
- Fill in the pWWN field with the initiator target pWWN.
- (Optional) Set the Name field to a globally unique identifier (IQN).
- (Optional) Check the NoAutoZoneCreation check box to disable auto-zoning.
- (Optional) Check the TresspassMode check box. See the "LUN Trespass for Storage Port Failover" topic.
- (Optional) Check the RevertToPrimary check box to revert back to the primary port after an HA failover when the primary port comes back up.
- Set the PrimaryVsan to the VSAN for the iSLB initiator target.
- Click Create to create this iSLB initiator target.
- If CFS is enabled, select commit from the CFS drop-down menu.
