Creating an FCS Platform

Detailed Steps

To create an FCS platform, follow these steps:

  1. Choose FC > Advanced > Fabric Config Server.

    2. You see the Fabric Config Server dialog box.

  2. Click the Platforms (Enclosures) tab.
  3. Click Create.

    4. You see the Create Fabric Config Server dialog box.

  4. Enter the VSAN ID, or select the ID from the drop-down list of available VSAN IDs.
  5. Enter the Fabric Configuration Server name in the Name field.
  6. Choose the type of server (Gateway, Host, Storage).
  7. Enter the WWNs for the server.
  8. Enter the management addresses for the server.
  9. Click Create to create the server, or click Close to discard your changes and return to the Fabric Config Server dialog box.
