Setting Up Security Association Parameters

Detailed Steps

To set up the SA parameters, such as keys and salt, using DCNM-SAN, follow these steps:

  1. Expand Switches > Security, and then select FC-SP (DHCHAP).
  2. You see the FC-SP configuration in the Information pane.

  3. Click the SA tab.
  4. You see the SA parameters for each switch.

  5. Click the Create Row icon.
  6. You see the Create SA Parameters dialog box.

  7. Select the switches on which you want to perform an encryption.
  8. Select a value for the SP. The range is from 256 to 65536.
  9. Enter a value for the salt. Alternatively, click Salt Generator to select a value
  10. Enter a value for the key. Alternatively, click Key Generator to select a value.
  11. Click Create to save the changes.

To set up the SA parameters, such as keys and salt, using Device Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Switches > Security, and then select FC-SP.
  2. You see the FC-SP configuration dialog box.

  3. Click the SA tab.
  4. You see the SA parameters for each switch.

  5. Click Create to create new parameters.
  6. You see the Create FC-SP SA dialog box.

  7. Select a value for the SP. The range is from 256 to 65536.
  8. Enter a value for the salt. Alternatively, click Salt Generator to select a value
  9. Enter a value for the key. Alternatively, click Key Generator to select a value.
  10. Click Create to save the changes.
