Configuring FICON Tape Acceleration

Detailed Steps

To configure FICON tape acceleration over FCIP, follow these steps:

  1. Expand ISL and then select FCIP in the Physical Attributes pane.
  2. Click the Tunnels tab in the Information pane.

    3. You see a list of available switches.

  3. Click the Create Row icon to create an FCIP tunnel.

    4. You see the Create FCIP Tunnel dialog box.

  4. Configure the tunnel with the options.
  5. Check the TapeAccelerator check box to enable FICON tape acceleration over this FCIP tunnel.
  6. Click Create.
