Reserving Bandwidth Quickly for the 8-Gbps Module Interfaces

Detailed Steps

To quickly reserve bandwidth for all the ports in the port groups on the Generation 3 Fibre Channel modules using the Device Manager, follow these steps:

1. In the Device Manager window, right-click the 8-Gbps Fibre Channel module.
2. From the popup menu, select Bandwidth Reservation Config...
3. In the Bandwidth Reservation Configuration dialog box that is displayed, choose a bandwidth reservation scheme.

Table 13-15 describes the default RateMode configuration schemes available in the Bandwidth Reservation Configuration dialog box for the 8-Gbps modules.
