Create Boot Volume

The Create Boot Volume wizard allows you to create a volume and then map it to the selected server as a boot volume.

Select Create New Volume to create a new volume to act as the boot volume for the selected server.

Select Create from Existing Volume to create a Boot from SAN copy of an existing volume to act as the boot volume for the selected server.

Once the volume has been created, it will be mapped to the selected server as a boot volume using LUN 0.

What You Need To Know

Creating a Boot from SAN copy of an existing volume utilizes Data Instant Replay to greatly reduce the amount of storage required for the volume.
