Configure IO Card Changes

The IO Card Change wizard is used to configure changes with the local port hardware. Examples include:

• IO Card upgrades
• IO Card removals
• Controller upgrades

The wizard guides you through the following actions:

• Associate IO cards with existing port configurations
• Indicate which IO cards are new hardware
• Delete configurations for IO cards that have been removed

What You Need To Know

To configure IO card changes successfully, at least one back-end port must remain in the same location.

A controller restart is required to implement the changes.

Changes should be performed by a certified installer, or with the assistance of Dell Technical Support Services.
