As of Compellent Storage Center 5.0, server definition includes information about the operating system of the server. This operating system information is used to determine how volumes are mapped to servers. It is strongly recommended that you set the correct operating system information for each of your servers.
Select the operating system for each server from the drop-down box for that server in the table above.
To apply the same operating system to more than one server at a time, select Update Servers by Operating System.
When the operating system for each server is set correctly, select Save Server Configurations.
If a server is running an operating system that is not available in the operating system list, select Other Singlepath, Other Multipath or Other NoLUNGap as the operating system for the server.
