The restore capability is not aware of the dynamic capacity volume size on the remote system, and will restore the volume all the way to the configured volume size. A replication initiated from the remote system to this system uses the dynamic capacity size, and will reduce both the amount of data to be transferred, and the amount of storage consumed.
