4.1 Overview of Event Handling

The Global Call protocol handler continuously monitors the line device for events from the network. As each call is processed through its various states, corresponding events are generated and passed to the application. An overview of Global Call event categories is provided in this chapter. Specific event definitions are described in the Global Call API Library Reference. See the appropriate Global Call Technology User's Guide for technology-specific event information.
