Purpose

This publication provides guidelines for building computer telephony applications that require call control functionality. Such applications include, but are not limited to, Call Routing, Enhanced Services, Unified Messaging, Voice Messaging, LAN Telephony Services, Computer Telephony Services, Switching, PBX, Interactive Voice Response, Help Desk and Work Flow applications.

This publication is a companion guide to the Global Call API Library Reference that provides details on the functions and parameters in the Global Call library.
