6.2.  Error Codes

The library functions return one of the following values to indicate the success or failure of a function call:

• 0 indicates successful function completion
• -1 indicates function failure

NOTE:

The scx_open( ) function returns the device handle instead of 0 on success and, like the other functions, returns -1 on failure.
