INEX is providing this
information for informational purposes only. It is simply to make you aware
that the command “createvlun –sublun”
had been issued on this array, possibly multiple times. The messages are found
in the InSplore file, “showeventlog_-d_-debug_-oneline.out”.
The “-sublun” switch is used to specify that a given 3PAR
Virtual Volume should be exported as a VMware VVOL.
ESX Virtual Volumes (VVOLs) are a VMware feature which uses two levels of LUN addressing for I/O.
To see these VVOL VLUNS you will need to use the command “showvlun –sublun”.
Refer to this document for further information regarding 3PAR and VMWare Virtual Volumes:

white paper: Implementing VMware Virtual Volumes on HP 3PAR StoreServ
Further information about these “subluns” may be found in the following files if they exist in the InSplore:
showvv_-matchbulkobjs.out
