Analysis Code: 62

Severity: Error

This analysis code is related to Analysis Code 61 and deals with 16GB HBAs (LPE16002) which may have encountered the issue in the HBA’s firmware, v1.1.65.16.

The HBA enters a state from which it will not reset the port causing IO traffic to hang.

The temporary workaround has been to replace the 16GB HBAs with 8GB HBAs temporarily or disconnect the cables from the

array’s 16GB HBAs, again temporarily. These two workarounds are only temporary until new firmware is released addressing this issue.

Which workaround to use will depend on the customer’s configuration.
