Monitoring RACC OperationsAfter Polling for the first time, you should immediately go to the Log page to check for successful polling.
If the system is able to successfully poll the HDS servers, the application will log two consecutive success messages. After the third successful poll, the application will write the log message "The system is polling normally so further success messages will be suspended." Note that it could take up to six minutes for these log messages to appear depending on the time interval between polling operations. If instead of success messages, you see error messages in the log file, check your addresses and proxy settings. If they seem correct, check your Internet access by using a web browser to browse to the sites directly. The URL to enter into the browser is https://ushtinet01.hds.com/. If the request succeeds, the page will be blank, but the page title displayed in the title bar of the web browser (or the tab depending on the browser and version) should be Hi-Track. If you get a blank page with the title Hi-Track, the page was successfully retrieved. In this case, go into the proxy settings of the browser and make sure that you entered the proxy settings into the RACC application exactly as they are for the browser. If instead of a blank page, you receive an error message, there may be a problem with the proxy settings you are trying to use for both the browser and the RACC application. In this case, try browsing to other sites on the Internet. Be sure to test browsing to sites that require secure (https) connections. If you cannot access secure sites with a web browser, it is likely that the customer's proxy or firewall rules are not permitting outbound access over port 443 (HTTPS). Contact the customer's technical network team for help with this. |
