You can change the number of volumes that can be copied concurrently using the Edit Remote Replica Options window.

Before you begin

  • Storage Administrator (Remote Copy) role is required.

Procedure

  1. In the Storage Systems tree, select Replication.

  2. Click Edit Options > Remote Replication.

  3. In the the Edit Remote Replica Options window, for Copy Type, select GAD .

  4. In Maximum Initial Copy Activities, enter the number of volumes that can be copied at once in a single initial copy operation.

    • The number of initial copy operation of GAD might affect the performance of the local storage system depending on the amount of I/O processing and the number of pairs that are registered at the same time.
    • If this value is too large, the pending process in the remote storage system increases and might effect the response time of the remote I/O to update I/O.
  5. Click Finish.

  6. In the Confirm window, check the settings you made, and then enter the task name in Task Name.

  7. Click Apply.

The task is registered. The Tasks window displays if Go to tasks window for status was selected.
