Removing remote paths

Remote paths from remote storage systems to local storage systems can be removed. Remove remote paths from the local storage system.

CautionConfirm that the number of paths is more than the one specified to Minimum Number of Paths in the Add Remote Connection window. If not, the remote path deletion operation fails.

Before you begin

  • Storage Administrator (Remote Copy) role is required.

Procedure

  1. In the Storage Systems tree, select Replication, and then Remote Connection.

  2. In the Connection (To) tab, select the remote connection whose remote path you want to remove.

  3. Click More Actions > Remove Remote Paths.

  4. In the Remove Remote Paths window, click the Remove check box for the remote paths you want to remove.

    If the number of paths becomes less than the minimum number of paths by deleting remote paths, the check boxes cannot be selected.

  5. Click Finish.

  6. In the Confirm window, check the settings you made, and then enter the task name in Task Name.

  7. Click Apply.

    The task is registered. The Tasks window displays if the Go to tasks window for status check box is selected.
