Removing quorum disks

When the GAD pairs no longer uses the quorum disk, remove the quorum disk from both primary and secondary storage systems.

NoteAfter you remove a quorum disk, the Device Manager - Storage Navigator error message (06205 068882) or CCI error message (SSB1:2E10, SSB2:A007) might be displayed. In this case, the external volume is not displayed on the Quorum disk tab of the Remote Connection window because the quorum disk was deleted successfully, but the quorum disk management information remains in the external volume. If this happens, format the external volume.

Before you begin

  • Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required.

Procedure

  1. In the Storage Systems tree, select Replication, and then Remote Connections.

  2. Select the Quorum Disks tab.

  3. Select the quorum disk you want to delete.

  4. Click Remove Quorum Disks.

  5. In the Selected Quorum Disks table, check that the quorum disk you want to delete is displayed.

  6. Click Apply.

    The task is registered. The Tasks window displays if Go to tasks window for status was selected.
