Assigning the GAD reserve attribute

This section describes how to assign the GAD reserve attribute.

Before you begin

  • Security Administrator (View & Modify) role is required.

Procedure

  1. In the Administration tree, select Resource Groups.

  2. Select the resource group to which the volume to assign the GAD reserve attribute GAD belongs.

  3. In the LDEVs tab, select the volume to which you want to assign the GAD reserve attribute. You can also select multiple volumes.

  4. Click More Actions, and then Assign GAD Reserves.

  5. In the Selected LDEVs table, check the target volume.

  6. Enter the task name in Task Name.

    Click Apply.

    The task is registered, and if the Go to tasks window for status check box is selected, the Tasks window appears.
