active-active cluster
A server cluster that is made up of active nodes. An active-active cluster environment minimizes application downtime in the event of server failure. In this environment, both of the active nodes perform application tasks, improving scalability and performance. Either node can assume control of the other node's resources when a node failure occurs. When the failed node becomes available, it can resume its role as an active node. Combined with global-active device pairs, the application remains highly available in the event of host or storage failures.
