Virtual storage machines displayed in Device Manager - Storage Navigator

Information on the virtualized resources of a virtual storage machine appears in Device Manager - Storage Navigator with associated physical storage information. If the information on these resources is not displayed by default, you can change the column settings. For details about Column Settings, see the System Administrator Guide.

The following information on the virtualized resources can also be displayed in Device Manager - Storage Navigator.

LDEVs for which virtualization management is disabled

LDEVs that satisfy both of these conditions:

  • The model and serial number of the virtual storage machine assigned to the resource group to which an LDEV belongs is the same as the storage system managed by Device Manager - Storage Navigator.
  • The values of the virtual LDEV ID and the LDEV ID are the same.

LDEVs for which virtualization management is enabled

LDEVs that satisfy one of these conditions:

  • The model or serial number of the virtual storage machine assigned to the resource group to which an LDEV belongs is different from the storage system managed by Device Manager - Storage Navigator.
  • The model and serial number of the virtual storage machine assigned to the resource group to which an LDEV belongs is the same as the storage system managed by Device Manager - Storage Navigator, but virtual LDEV ID and LDEV ID are different.
