Do not perform Volume Migration operations during storage system maintenance activities (such as, installation, replacement, removal of cache or drives, configuration changes, or replacement of the software).
CautionIf a volume migration operation of
Volume Migration is in progress and the SVP is in Modify mode, the
Volume Migration process might not complete and the volume might remain being migrated. In this case, make sure that the SVP is in View mode.
Before turning off the power on the storage system, confirm that all Volume Migration operations are complete. If you turn off the power of the storage system during Volume Migration operations, and power is later restored, Volume Migration operations resume, but there is a risk that data may be lost from the shared memory. If this happens, Volume Migration begins recopying all data, both the differential data not yet migrated as well as the data previously copied to the target volume before the power interruption.
