Changing the asymmetric access status

You can define the preferred path when a server and a storage system are connected in the cross-path configuration using the Edit Asymmetric Access States window.

Before you begin

  • Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role is required.

Procedure

  1. In the Storage Systems tree, select Ports/Host Groups/iSCSI Targets.

  2. On the Host Groups tab, select the checkbox for the host group whose asymmetric access status you want to edit, and then click More Actions > Edit Asymmetric Access States.

  3. In the Edit Asymmetric Access States window, select Asymmetric Access States.

  4. Click Finish.

  5. Check the settings in the confirmation window, and then enter the Task Name.

  6. Click Apply.

    The task is registered. The Tasks window displays if Go to tasks window for status was selected.
