Overview
An audit log is a file to which histories of the operations performed on the storage system by a system constructor or system administrator, and of program behavior due to performed operations are output.
Because the audit log records when and who has done what operation, it can be used for investigation when illegal settings are applied or failures occur on the storage system.
Also, information about users who performs operations using commands etc., the audit event such as success or failure of the processing caused by the operations, and the targets of the operations and processing is stored in an audit log file, and the information is useful to audit the storage system.
The stored audit logs can be transferred to a syslog server.
